Agriculture Ministry surveys Cipinang Rice Market Central (PIBC) today, Tuesday (12/5).

Rice stock in PIBC is safe until massive harvest

Agriculture Minister, Andi Amran Sulaiman said the survey is aimed to know the rice stock directly at PIBC.

"Rice stock in PIBC is safe until massive harvest," he stated, Tuesday (12/5).

His party also surveys the highest retail price (HET) of medium rice set by the government at Rp 9,450 whether it is going well or not.

"HET in PIBC has run effectively. It is proven from market operation that sells medium rice by Rp 7,800 per kilogram," he stated.

PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Director said his side is optimistic the current rice stock which is 37,688 tons could fulfill Jakartans' necessity.

"We will work optimally to maintain the stability of rice price and stock," he stressed.
